God is Calling

God is always calling us, but often times we fail to pick up the phone. Tuning into God's presence in our lives is a real challenge, especially with all of today's distractions and busyness.  We all try to pray in one way or another, but if we’re being honest, we’d all admit that we struggle with prayer.  Finding the time, fighting distractions, and questioning whether prayer is even fruitful are things we all struggle with.  In this episode, Christine and Dennis help listeners understand what prayer really is and address some of the main obstacles to prayer while also providing concrete things we can do to overcome or minimize those obstacles.   In the end, listeners will come to see how God is always communicating and revealing himself to us, find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their struggles with prayer, and have a few tools for combating distractions in prayer.

Go big or go home!  In this, our first content episode, we tackle the very identity of God, who reveals himself as Love.  What does it mean to say that God is Love, and why does it even matter?  We'll help listeners come to see how this self-revelation from God reveals not only a great deal about Him, but is also essential in helping us understand who we are and what we're really created for.  This is the starting point for everything in life, especially faith!  We round out the episode with some ideas and suggestions to help listeners come to really encounter the love of God in their daily life and allow Him to satiate that burning in their hearts for something more!

Here we are, but who the heck are we?  Christine and Dennis use this episode to introduce themselves and share a little about themselves and what this podcast is all about.  This self-revelation will lead listeners on a saga to see how the love of God, Star Wars, tennis, and coffee are all connected.
